It struggled a bit when it came across carpets with longer piles and also some thick, long messes with dried-on debris.
Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box, and requires only a quick initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. The map will be displayed in the app, and you can join or add rooms as you need to. You can also set virtual boundaries as well as no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you don't want the robot to get into.
